Surprising defeat to Bayern in the yesterday’s game  away to Augsburg. The Bavarians have conceded a goal in the first half of the match from the SGL Arena, Sacha Molders’ success being the only one recorded in this meeting.

Following this result, Bayern has concluded a series of 53 games in the Bundesliga in witch has not known the taste of defeat. Last negative result was recorded in October 2012, a 1-2 home defeat to Leverkusen.

After the match Per Guardiola said that sooner or later it still would have happened, because neither team can win forever. The Spanish coach also mentioned that they will take revenge in front of fans in the match against Manchester United, which will take place next week.

“No complaints. We lost because the opponent was a bit better than us,” Guardiola told reporters after the game.

“We have already seen how good a team Augsburg are in the DFB Pokal. We fought and tried a lot. This is football. You can’t always win. Sooner or later, a defeat happens.

“We accept that and now we need to prepare for the Manchester United game as soon as possible. On Wednesday it’s a final. It’s about life or death.” Added the Catalan tactician.

Bayern has already won the title in Germany, so now the only remaining concerns of the Bavarians is the Champions League and the DFB Pokal.
